Judith's Story
Life
I married Jerry Johnson (58 years) ago and Jerry graduated from Natick high school in 1958 and I (Judy Dill Johnson) graduated from Medway High school in 1961.
We have two children, Colleen and William.
We have 4 grandchildren from our daughter Colleen who lives in Shrewsbury, 2 boys and 2 girls and 4 great grandchildren. A boy (10) and girl (8) in California, and just had another boy just born in November 2021. A (4) year old boy and expecting a girl in the spring,, and a 1 year old boy in Millbury, MA.
Our son Bill & his wife Christina have two children, boy 13, and girl 16, and live in Virginia.
Bill has completed his Real Estate course for Keller Williams in VA, and is now working with a Real Estate lady to help with her sales. His wife Christina is a trademark lawyer. in Alexandria, VA. Our daughter Colleen works in Human Resources at IDG, Co. in Framingham. We are proud of them all?
Our daughter Colleen lives in her house in Shrewsbury, MA, and her daughter Salina graduated from Assabet Regional High School, and studied Hair Dressing. and now works in 3 hair salons.
Her son Matt works with his father in the siding and replacement window business and is expecting his 2nd child in the Spring.. He has a boy 4 and now having a girl. Her son Josh is in construction and lives in Shrewsbury with his girlfriend. He works with a contractor in the local area. He had a baby boy on Nov. 12, 2021.
His sister Sarah is an RN and works at Worcester Recovery Science clinic in Worcester, MA. She is also into renewing old furniture, using chalk paint, and has a stall in an Antique store in Grafton Center. She is making old furniture look like new and very successful...
Sarah has a baby boy who is 1 years old. Its her first child and we know will be the best thing in her life. She lives in a new house in Millbury, MA...
Our son lives in Virginia and enjoys the warmer weather there. Bill's children are both in the VA school system in the grades. They are both into sports including basketball, baseball, and swimming classes for competitions! Katherine is 16 and Liam is 13 yrs old. Liam was awarded MVP in his baseball little league team this July!
I have been retired now since 2009. We are enjoying places to visit friends who have moved, and visits to our son in Virginia and NYC. It seems we are busier more than ever. I fill my extra time being a registration Chairperson for our towns yearly festival. The Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival brings in man...Expand for more
y Craft vendors and I also register Food truck/table vendors to serve food to all the people who attend. Our board meets from January till the last week. Its always the last Saturday in September of each year. This festival has been put on for the last 25 years.
Jerry is keeping up with his teamster brotherhood as the President of Local #170 Chapter of Retirees. He enjoys keeping up with he fellow teamsters. He finally quit driving Limo's for Knights Limo Service in Shrewsbury, MA. He deserves a rest.
Our 60th Class Reunion Banquet was canceled because of the Pandemic. It was to be held in May 2021. Hope we can get to hold our reunion some time soon after the covid-19 is gone.
It was a fun evening in 2017 and our classmate Lori Soltys was honored by the 25 year class as their adviser at MHS. She has passed on since then.
My mother, Sylvia G. Dill, passed away Feb, 11th, 2016! She is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway with my Dad, William B. Dill who passed away in 1987. They did a lot for our family and helped at their church as well.
My brother Richard Dill passed away December of 2014, and his ashes were buried with my Mom & Dad at the Evergreen cemetery on May 14th, 2015.
Richard has 3 children, Allison Dill Bickum lives in ME and FL, and Mark Dill lives in NJ, and Ricky Dill lives in Bellingham.
Two of Richards Classmates were at his interment, Mary Downey Jordan, and David Morton. It was a lot of family and seeing his classmates was so inspiring. We went out for Brunch in Millis after his funeral!
I have enjoyed emailing some of my classmates from time to time. I think 17 have passed that makes our classmates much smaller. May they rest in Peace!!!
I have sad news to report. My dear Jerry passed away on November 30th, 2021 at home very suddenly. I have had so many people call me and telling me what a wonderful person Jerry was, and they are shocked at his passing. Many people at Knights Limo Service would call and report what a great ride and how pleasant the driver (Jerry) was to them. His personality uplifted people at a time when they needed some support. He was good at that and in the Union saved many men/women's jobs that saved their family a lot of grief. To be honest he was loved and respected by all who met him. We were a team and he was my hero and protector for over 58 years. He is now with family and friends who have gone before in heaven. I will miss him greatly!!!
